Legal Counsel

Contextual Overview

MYCPE ONE is hiring a Legal Counsel for its operational center in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The role requires a practicing advocate to independently handle the company's litigation and contract portfolio, including appearing and arguing before courts and tribunals, drafting commercial agreements, and managing labour and employment matters.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Degree: LL.B. or B.A. LL.B. (5-year integrated) from a recognized university (LL.M. is an added advantage).
• Bar Enrolment: Valid Sanad enrolled with a State Bar Council with a valid Certificate of Practice (mandatory).
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of post-enrolment experience combining litigation and in-house work.
• Core Skills: Independent court craft, full-cycle Section 138 NI Act expertise, commercial contract drafting, and working knowledge of the DPDP Act, 2023.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Litigation: Appear, argue, and file cases before civil/criminal courts, tribunals, and labour forums (including end-to-end Section 138 NI Act matters); maintain litigation trackers and manage legal spend.
• Drafting: Draft plaints, written statements, affidavits, legal notices, and commercial contracts (NDAs, vendor agreements, lease deeds, MoUs, SLAs).
• Labour & Employment: Ensure compliance under applicable labour legislation; handle matters before labour authorities and courts including conciliation and adjudication.
