Contextual Overview

NJ Macson is seeking a detail-oriented Sr Legal Associate to join their Legal & Compliance department in Chennai. The role focuses on managing corporate and commercial legal matters, with a primary emphasis on contract drafting, intellectual property rights (IPR), and regulatory compliance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: LL.B. from a recognized university.
• Experience: 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Preferred: LL.M. or specialization in Corporate Law or Intellectual Property Rights.
• Skills: Strong expertise in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (NDAs, Service Agreements, M&A documentation, etc.).
• Manage IPR portfolios, including trademark/copyright registration, renewals, and infringement monitoring.
• Provide legal support for corporate transactions, due diligence, and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and maintain internal legal policies.
• Coordinate with external advocates for litigation support and dispute resolution.
