Legal Associate

Contextual Overview

Novac Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Legal Associate for a full-time corporate legal role based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The position focuses on commercial contracting, contract lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance support for the IT and technology sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Prior experience supporting IT/Technology clients is preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial laws, data privacy regulations, and IP-related contract issues.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, Software License Agreements, SaaS Agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure contractual compliance with applicable laws and internal organizational policies.
• Provide legal support for business transactions, client engagements, and cross-functional operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Delivery, Compliance) to manage risks and close deals efficiently.
• Assist in contract lifecycle management, maintain the legal contract repository, and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
