Data Protection Officer

Contextual Overview

OneXtel is seeking a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to be based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The DPO will serve as the central point of accountability for privacy and data protection, advising management on regulatory obligations and ensuring the organization's compliance with the DPDPA 2023, IT Act 2000, and GDPR.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience in privacy, compliance, information security, or risk management.
• Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of DPDPA 2023, IT Act 2000, and GDPR.
• Preferred: Experience in technology, telecommunications, SaaS, or CPaaS environments.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Establish and maintain the organization's privacy governance framework and policies.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new products and vendors.
• Act as the primary liaison for Data Principals and regulatory authorities.
• Lead privacy incident response and breach management processes.
• Implement 'Privacy by Design' and 'Privacy by Default' principles across cross-functional teams.
