Pogo, a fast‑growing software development company based in Brooklyn, NY, is hiring its first in‑house Commercial Counsel to lead commercial contracting and help build the foundation of its legal function.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school
• Active license to practice law in the United States
• 4–8 years of legal experience, ideally with both law‑firm training and in‑house experience at a high‑growth tech firm
• Proven track record negotiating complex enterprise SaaS, technology and data agreements
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to communicate legal risks clearly

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Own end‑to‑end commercial contracting (MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs, NDAs, vendor and partnership agreements)
• Partner with GTM teams to close complex enterprise deals while balancing risk and commercial realities
• Develop templates, playbooks, workflows and automation to scale the legal function
• Support broader legal matters: privacy, product, data, employment, corporate, insurance, compliance, IP, and disputes
• Collaborate with fractional and specialist outside counsel as needed
• Gradually assume broader ownership of Pogo’s legal function

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base salary range: $175,000 – $250,000 per year (paid). Additional benefits include unlimited PTO with a minimum 20‑day vacation policy.
