The ROCKWOOL Group is seeking a Legal and Compliance Officer to serve as the primary in-house legal resource for its Indian operations, covering sites in Mumbai, Dahej, Cheyyar, Chennai, and Rajasthan. The role involves providing commercial legal advice, managing regulatory compliance, and supporting the regional legal function in alignment with global standards.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or integrated degree (BA LLB / BBA LLB) from an accredited Indian law school.
- Experience: 5โ8 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law.
- Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills for commercial contracts; sound knowledge of Indian corporate and contract law.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Hindi; Tamil proficiency is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (sales, procurement, service, NDA, etc.).
- Developing and implementing compliance management frameworks and conducting employee training.
- Managing corporate secretarial matters, including board resolutions and filings with the ROC/MCA.
- Handling pre-litigation correspondence, internal investigations, and coordinating with external counsel for disputes.
- Providing legal support to cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, and Operations.
