Corporate Counsel – TAL Australia
Join TAL Australia’s in‑house legal team in Sydney to provide commercially focused legal advice across regulatory, product and commercial matters, supporting life insurance and superannuation initiatives.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Australian practising qualification
- 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience in financial services, insurance, superannuation, wealth or another highly regulated environment
- Exposure to life insurance regulation and consumer protection frameworks (highly regarded but not essential)
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide practical legal advice across commercial, regulatory and product matters
- Partner with stakeholders on life insurance product development and distribution
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements
- Advise on regulatory change, customer communications, marketing and consumer protection matters
- Support corporate legal matters including contracts and intellectual property
- Help the business understand emerging legal and regulatory risks
- Contribute to industry reform and advocacy across life insurance and superannuation
