Contextual Overview
TMF Group is seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer / MLRO to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The professional will provide specialized compliance, AML, risk management, and corporate governance advisory services to regulated financial services firms across the UAE and Qatar.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: At least 3-5+ years of regulatory experience in a Compliance, AML, or similar role within the regulated financial services sector.
- Regulatory Background: Preferably previously registered or approved by the DFSA or FSRA as a Compliance Officer and/or MLRO.
- Skills: Strong understanding of financial services regulations, excellent interpersonal and consultancy skills, strong written and verbal communication, and acute attention to detail.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Assist clients with regulatory authorization applications with the QFCRA, DFSA, FSRA, and UAE SCA.
- Support delivery of consulting projects, including remediation and compliance integration projects.
- Prepare and deliver compliance, corporate governance, risk, and AML training and regulatory advice.
- Monitor changes and developments in relevant laws and regulations, updating colleagues and clients accordingly.
- Develop and maintain effective compliance, AML, risk management, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Draft manuals, policies, procedures, reports, and other required documents.
- Liaise directly with regulators, auditors, senior management, and stakeholders.
