Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Land Acquisition & Management: Lead land acquisition for plants, mines, and infrastructure; conduct title due diligence; handle purchase, lease, transfer, and registration processes.
• Mining & Project Support: Manage legal aspects of mining lease applications, renewals, and compliance with forest/environmental clearances.
• Litigation Management: Manage land-related litigation, coordinate with external advocates, monitor case strategy, and maintain litigation MIS.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Land Acquisition Acts, Mining & Minerals laws, Environmental & Forest laws, and local revenue regulations.
• Documentation: Draft, review, and vet land-related agreements, leases, and MoUs; maintain custody of original legal records.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with government authorities (Revenue, Survey, Forest) and lead land/legal teams at the unit/cluster level.
