Valeo is seeking a Regulations & Norms Engineer for a full-time, mid-senior level position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, trade control, sanctions, and technical assessments within the motor vehicle parts manufacturing sector.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Mid-senior professional experience in regulatory compliance and trade controls.
- Familiarity with export control regulations, sanctions lists, and product safety/technical compliance assessments.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Review regulatory requirements and identify their applicability to business activities and transactions.
- Assess product/technology, jurisdiction, end-use, and transaction-related risks to identify licensing requirements or restrictions.
- Review Export Control Questionnaires and product/technology data for classification and compliance assessments.
- Coordinate with R&D PTM/PM and internal AREG teams on export control and sanctions matters.
- Monitor regulatory changes, identify compliance gaps, and maintain accurate documentation, assessment records, and KPIs.
