Legal and Secretarial - Consultant

Contextual Overview

Virtusa is seeking a Legal and Secretarial Consultant to join their global legal team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on commercial contracting, corporate advisory, and supporting business operations across EMEA and APAC regions, reporting to the Corporate Counsel in India.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Undergraduate and law degrees from reputable universities.
• Licensing: Must be admitted to the Bar in any state in India.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of legal experience at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 large corporate law firm.
• Exclusions: Candidates with experience solely in litigation, arbitration, dispute resolution, in-house roles, or LPOs will not be considered.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, software licenses, vendor and channel partner agreements).
• Supporting sales functions in RFP responses and legal risk mitigation.
• Providing general legal advisory and assisting with HR-related legal queries.
• Maintaining legal templates, playbooks, and process documentation.
• Assisting in client/internal audits and due diligence for M&A transactions.
