General Counsel / VP – Legal & Compliance at Wingify

Wingify and AB Tasty are seeking a senior legal leader to establish and head the global Legal & Compliance function. This role involves building the legal infrastructure from the ground up, advising the CEO and Board, and managing complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions including India, France, the US, and the UK.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 12–18 years of post-qualification legal experience, with significant senior in-house leadership experience.
• Education: LLB or equivalent law degree required; LLM is a plus.
• Expertise: Commercial contracting, technology law, corporate governance, privacy (GDPR, India's DPDP Act, CCPA), and regulatory compliance.
• Industry: Experience in global technology, SaaS, or software environments.
• Language: French language proficiency and/or experience with European businesses is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Commercial Law: Drafting and negotiating enterprise SaaS agreements, MSAs, DPAs, and managing external counsel.
• Corporate Governance: Overseeing board meetings, statutory filings, M&A due diligence, and corporate structuring.
• Privacy & Compliance: Leading global privacy frameworks, overseeing the DPO function, and ensuring compliance with GDPR, DPDP, and CCPA.
• IP & Technology: Developing IP strategy, managing software licensing, and overseeing open-source compliance.
• Risk Management: Establishing enterprise-wide legal risk frameworks and managing litigation/disputes.
