Contextual Overview

Wolters Kluwer is hiring a full-time Consultant - LBA for its Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence (LBACOE) located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The role involves auditing electronically submitted legal fee and expense invoices from law firms to ensure compliance with billing guidelines.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Paralegal Certification or Bachelor's Degree in a legal-related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a legal services environment or 2-4 years in a legal bill auditing environment.
• Firm understanding of federal and/or state rules of civil procedure.
• Prior legal bill review experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Efficiently and accurately review legal invoice entries and verify compliance with legal billing guidelines.
• Verify the accuracy of UTBMS task codes (Fee, Activity, and Expense codes).
• Document reasons for any adjustments made to invoice line items, citing specific billing guideline violations.
• Communicate and calibrate with Consultant LBA and Quality Assurance Analyst team members.
• Support management in documenting performance metrics and analyzing legal service agreements.
