Role Overview
YES BANK is hiring a Legal Counsel to join their Corporate Legal team within the Risk Management business unit in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role focuses on providing end-to-end legal support for corporate, commercial, lending, and regulatory matters, including the management of litigation and drafting of complex financial documentation.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Degree in Law (LL.B). Company Secretary (CS) qualification is considered an advantage.
- Experience: 8-11 years of corporate legal experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the Banking sector or top-tier NBFCs.
- Competencies: Strong subject matter expertise, ability to assess risks independently, and proficiency in drafting bespoke legal documents.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Partner with business, risk, and credit teams to advise on deal structures and security enforceability.
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, and inter-creditor arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with RBI Master Directions, KYC/AML rules, and internal bank policies.
- Manage litigation across DRT, NCLT, High Courts, and consumer forums.
- Develop standardized templates to improve turnaround time (TAT) and minimize reliance on external counsel.
