This full-time, on-site role is based at the prestigious Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It offers an exceptional opportunity for mid-level legal professionals to manage complex commercial contracts and global compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Legal Associate will manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle and support clients with international regulatory compliance. Key duties include:
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Independently drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating diverse commercial agreements, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Amendments, and Change Orders.
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Recording, maintaining, and tracking executed agreements within contract databases, as well as managing renewals, extensions, renegotiations, and terminations.
- Data Privacy Compliance: Assisting clients in implementing robust privacy and data protection frameworks, ensuring alignment with global regulations such as GDPR, COPPA, and other international standards.
- Process Optimization: Supporting clients in establishing and sustaining efficient legal and compliance processes while securing commercially favorable positions.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: An LL.B. degree from a reputed institution.
- Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE). Prior experience as an in-house corporate counsel or within a corporate legal environment is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong contract negotiation abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a solid understanding of global privacy laws.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
