This full-time internship is designed for law students and recent graduates who want to gain hands-on exposure to corporate compliance, legal operations, and product-related legal workflows in a dynamic startup environment.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Intern at Nextyn, you will work closely with the Legal & Compliance team to support the development of a new product. The role involves a mix of analytical tasks, document reviews, and regulatory research. Key responsibilities include:
- Document Review: Assisting in the review of legal documents, agreements, and internal corporate policies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compliance Checks: Conducting compliance audits to ensure alignment with internal guidelines and external regulatory frameworks.
- Data & Transcript Analysis: Reviewing and analyzing transcripts, communication data, and product-related content to identify potential legal or compliance risks.
- Drafting & Updates: Supporting the team in drafting and updating legal templates, disclaimers, terms & conditions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Regulatory Research: Researching regulatory frameworks, risk areas, data privacy guidelines, and industry-specific legal standards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with Product, Operations, HR, and Leadership teams to ensure timely completion of legal reviews.
Eligibility Criteria
Nextyn is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Currently pursuing or recently completed an LLB, BLS LLB, BA LLB, or an equivalent law degree.
- Skills: Strong command over the English language with excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Analytical Abilities: High attention to detail with the ability to identify risk elements in complex documents.
- Legal Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of basic legal concepts, including contracts, confidentiality, compliance, and data privacy norms.
- Technical Comfort: Comfortable working with digital tools, transcription platforms, and document management systems.
