A leading global proprietary trading firm is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Mumbai office through Aquis Search. The role involves supporting the broader legal and compliance function with regulatory research, contract review, and day-to-day legal workflows, working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel. Key Responsibilities:
- Track SEBI, IFSCA (GIFT City), NSE/BSE/MCX, RBI, and other applicable regulatory updates.
- Draft and edit legal memos, policies, SOPs, board and executive briefings, and responses to regulator inquiries.
- Review, redline, and negotiate routine agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, MSAs, and other commercial contracts).
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and external counsel on specialised matters.
- Support corporate housekeeping and filings alongside the Company Secretary and compliance teams.
