The Department of Women and Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi, has announced multiple vacancies under the prestigious Mission Vatsalya Scheme. This recruitment drive aims to fill critical positions across various child welfare bodies, including the State Child Protection Society (SCPS), Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), Special Juvenile Police Units (SJPUs), and District Child Protection Units (DCPUs). Available Positions and Specific Eligibility

  • Legal-cum Probation Officer (LCPO): Candidates must hold an LL.B. degree from a recognized university and have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks. A minimum of 2 years of regular paid experience working with Government or Non-Government Organizations, preferably in the field of Women and Child Rights, is required. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of child rights and protection issues.
  • Program Officer (SCPS): Requires a Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management with at least 50% marks. Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks and possess 2 years of relevant experience in documentation, training, project formulation, or monitoring.
  • District Child Protection Officer (DCPO): Requires a Post Graduate degree in the same fields as the Program Officer (minimum 50% marks) and Class 12 with at least 60% marks. Candidates must have at least 3 years of regular paid experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and supervision in the field of Women & Child Development or Social Welfare.
  • Protection Officers (Institutional & Non-Institutional Care): Candidates can apply with either a Post Graduate degree in the specified fields (minimum 50% marks) or a Graduate degree in the same fields with 2 years of relevant experience. Class 12 with at least 60% marks is mandatory for both pathways.

General Skills and Competencies

Across all positions, candidates are expected to have excellent computer skills, strong writing capabilities, and professional fluency in both English and Hindi.
