Legal Counsel at Aberdeen
Aberdeen is hiring a Legal Counsel to provide legal support for regional activities in Singapore. This is a full-time, mid-senior level position within the Financial Services industry, reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Degree in Law
- Singapore qualified with at least 5 yearsโ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
- Knowledge and experience in the financial industry; experience in asset management is an advantage
- Strong command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Chinese is an advantage
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and strong analytical capabilities regarding risk management
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Report to and work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel to support regional activities
- Advise on legal issues arising from business activities and projects
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and manage risks
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including third-party, outsourcing, and investment management contracts
- Manage external counsels as required
- Collaborate with the global Legal team on group-wide initiatives
