Contextual Overview

Above the Bar is partnering with a highly respected real estate litigation boutique in Century City, Los Angeles, to hire a Litigation Associate. The firm handles complex, high-stakes real estate matters from case inception through trial, offering hands-on courtroom and case management experience.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 4–6 years of litigation experience.
• Bar Admission: Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• Skills: Proven experience in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage active litigation matters from start to finish and lead litigation teams while senior attorneys are in trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with experienced litigators.
• Appear in court and participate in hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Build direct client relationships and participate in legal business development.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

• Compensation: Up to $235,000 per year.
• Mode: Hybrid in-office schedule based in Century City, Los Angeles, CA 90067.
• Expectation: 1,900 billable hour requirement.
