Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal

Contextual Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented attorney to serve as an Associate Corporate Counsel within the AWS Legal Department based in Arlington, VA. In this role, the attorney will provide comprehensive product counseling support for the AWS Platform Experience organization, advising internal business clients on complex legal issues, product and feature launches, and regulatory compliance.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Active membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years of legal experience
• Preferred: Private practice or in-house experience at a technology company

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Identifying legal risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
• Advising on regulatory and privacy-related issues.
• Overseeing compliance, negotiating strategic technology agreements, and providing strategic business input.
• Developing creative, business-centric solutions for novel legal issues.
• Building scalable processes that manage risk while enabling rapid business innovation.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Compensation: Base salary ranging from 131,500.00 to 178,000.00 USD annually, supplemented by sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.

Mode: Full-time, On-site (Arlington, VA)
