Contextual Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented attorney to serve as an Associate Corporate Counsel within the AWS Legal Department based in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will support the AWS Platform Experience organization by providing products counseling, advising on complex legal and regulatory issues, supporting product launches, and negotiating strategic technology agreements.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum of 2+ years of legal experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Active membership in at least one state bar or equivalent.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Identifying legal risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
• Advising on regulatory issues, including privacy-related compliance.
• Overseeing compliance, negotiating strategic technology agreements, and providing input on business strategy.
• Developing creative, business-centric strategies for handling complex legal issues.
• Building processes that manage risk while enabling the business to innovate and scale quickly.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

• Base Salary Range: $131,500.00 - $178,000.00 USD annually (plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units).
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
• Mode: Full-time, On-site (Arlington, VA).
