Role Overview

Arnold & Itkin LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Briefing Lawyer to support its Houston-based trial teams on high-profile, nationwide litigation. This role is available as a full-time position, either based in the Dallas office or remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Key Eligibility Criteria

  • Education: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Member in good standing of any state bar.
  • Experience: Minimum of two yearsโ€™ post-law school experience at a civil law firm OR one year in a judicial clerkship.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with Filevine, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Research, prepare, and draft motions, responses, petitions, complaints, and complex demand letters.
  • Conduct legal research and review case documents across varied jurisdictions.
  • Draft briefs and memoranda on contested issues during litigation and trial.
  • Travel to attend trials as needed (approximately 2-4 times per year).

Stipend & Compensation

The firm offers highly competitive pay, available on either a salaried or 1099 contractor basis.
