Associate, Investment Funds – Ashurst Perkins Coie
Join Ashurst Perkins Coie’s Market‑Leading Investment Funds team in London as a full‑time associate. The role focuses on fund formation, structuring, and advisory across a range of asset classes.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
- Approximately 3‑5 years PQE in an investment funds or asset management practice at a reputable law firm
- Good working knowledge of fund structuring, limited partnership law, and relevant regulatory frameworks
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Assist in advising fund managers and sponsors on establishment and structuring of private investment funds (private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit, infrastructure)
- Draft, review, and negotiate key fund documents (limited partnership agreements, private placement memoranda, subscription documents, side letters, investment management agreements)
- Support advisory on institutional investors (pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, family offices) for fund investments, co‑investments, and secondary transactions
- Provide advice on fund governance, investor terms, fee arrangements, and carried interest structures
- Coordinate with tax, regulatory, and specialist teams on cross‑disciplinary matters
