VP Compliance International Markets

Role Overview

AstraZeneca is seeking a VP Compliance International Markets based in Dubai. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for the Global Ethics & Compliance Programme across international commercial territories, including Latin America, MEA, Russia/Eurasia, and Asia-Pacific. The role involves leading a team of 30+ professionals and serving on both the Global Ethics & Compliance and International Senior Leadership teams.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Proven track record in senior compliance leadership within the pharmaceutical or highly regulated healthcare industry.
• Expertise in managing complex regulatory environments, including bribery/corruption, healthcare fraud, and data privacy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong business acumen with a solution-oriented, pragmatic approach to risk management.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Strategic Governance: Evolve compliance strategy for diverse markets and provide counsel on business initiatives and market expansion.
• Risk Management: Embed compliance controls by design and implement proactive monitoring systems.
• Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, balancing risk management with commercial growth objectives.
• Culture & Leadership: Champion a values-based culture and lead a team of 30+ compliance business partners.
