Contextual Overview

Aurora Utilities, an independent electricity network operator backed by I Squared Capital, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team in the London Area. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across commercial, corporate, regulatory, and governance matters within the UK's energy infrastructure sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a qualified solicitor.
• Strong legal foundation with commercial judgement.
• Relevant experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, infrastructure/projects, energy/utilities, or regulatory/compliance is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, hybrid-working environment.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and project documentation.
• Providing legal support for corporate transactions, investments, and restructuring.
• Advising on regulatory compliance, data protection, and privacy matters.
• Assisting with company secretarial and board governance processes.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams including finance, technical, and operations.
