Barry McTiernan & Moore LLC, a full-service defense litigation firm with a 90-year foundation, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Litigation group in its Manhattan, NY office. The role focuses on insurance defense, general liability claims, premise liability defense, and property claims.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Must be admitted to practice law in New York (NY).
Minimum of 1 to 5 years of active practice experience as an attorney in an insurance defense firm.
Experience in premise liability defense, property claims, and pre-trial litigation.
Admission in New Jersey (NJ) and experience with NY State Labor Law are considered strong pluses.
Proficiency in Westlaw and/or Lexis.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Represent clients in all phases of litigation, court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
Conduct complex legal research and discovery.
Draft discovery demands and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
Ensure meticulous compliance with firm and client billing and reporting guidelines.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

Base Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year (commensurate with skills and experience).
Additional Compensation: Annual Bonus.
Mode: Full-time, On-site in New York, NY.
