Litigation Associate Opportunity in New York

BCG Attorney Search is recruiting for an experienced Litigation Associate to join a mid-sized New York law firm specializing in insurance defense. The role involves managing a sophisticated litigation portfolio with a focus on New York Labor Law, construction accidents, and commercial disputes.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 4-8 years of insurance defense and complex civil litigation experience.
• Specialization: Significant experience with New York Labor Law and related matters.
• Licensure: Active New York law license in good standing.
• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage a litigation docket with minimal supervision.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts.
• Engage in motion practice, including summary judgment motions and appellate briefing.
• Make substantive courtroom appearances, including conferences, oral arguments, and mediations.
• Analyze exposure, identify litigation risks, and develop defense strategies.
• Maintain excellent client-management skills.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $220,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year.
Additional: Competitive compensation package.
