Key Eligibility Criteria

Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage a varied Adult Social Care debt recovery caseload from pre-action instructions through claim issue, judgment, and enforcement.
- Provide clear legal advice to finance and Adult Social Care teams regarding limitation, proportionality, evidence, and risk management.
- Draft legal documentation including letters before action, pleadings, witness statements, consent orders, and settlement agreements.
- Represent BCP Council in legal proceedings, primarily in County Court debt recovery and enforcement matters.
- Negotiate repayment proposals and settlements considering public law duties and vulnerable adult protections.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
- Starting Salary: £44,075 (pro rata for part-time).
- Market Supplement: Additional local market supplement of £8,223 at entry.
