Compliance Manager & DPO APAC

Contextual Overview

Beazley is seeking a Compliance Manager & DPO for the APAC region based in Singapore. This role serves as the primary local compliance representative for Beazley’s Singapore and Labuan businesses, operating as a sole practitioner with decision-making responsibilities while aligning with the global compliance function.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Compliance Oversight: Provide advisory support across regulatory compliance, including reporting to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Lloyd’s.
• Data Protection: Act as the APAC regional DPO, implementing processes to ensure compliance with local and international data protection laws.
• Regulatory Engagement: Maintain relationships with local regulators and Lloyd’s Asia representatives; coordinate regulatory returns.
• Financial Crime & Advisory: Support the Group Financial Crime team regarding whistleblowing and conflict management; provide guidance on licensing and product distribution.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Develop KPIs/KRIs, conduct compliance monitoring, and report to the Singapore and Labuan Boards.
