This role involves managing a complex caseload of non-contentious and contentious enfranchisement matters, including lease extensions and rights of first refusal, while supporting the broader Residential Real Estate team.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 6 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a professional legal environment.
- Proven expertise in leasehold enfranchisement and residential real estate.
- Experience in mentoring junior staff and undertaking line-management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated track record in business development and marketing within the legal sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, time-recording software, and case management systems.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Manage a caseload including 1993 Act collective enfranchisement, 1967 Act lease extensions, and 1987 Act rights of first refusal.
- Provide strategic advice on lease structuring and voluntary lease extensions.
- Draft and implement participation agreements and deeds of adherence.
- Support the Residential Real Estate team on complex transactions and financing matters.
- Engage in business development, including writing articles and attending industry events (e.g., ALEP).
- Provide formal training and guidance to junior team members.
