AppleOne Employment Services is exclusively recruiting for a highly respected boutique law firm in Fort Lauderdale to hire an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Matrimonial and Family Law. The role requires a well-rounded Florida attorney capable of independently managing cases from initial strategy through trial, with a strong focus on courtroom advocacy and client management.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Active license and good standing with The Florida Bar.
- Strong experience practicing matrimonial and/or family law.
- Hands-on courtroom and litigation experience, including trial experience.
- Experience independently preparing for and handling hearings.
- Strong knowledge of Florida family-law procedures and practices.
- Ability to meet a minimum billing requirement of 125 billable hours per month.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Independently manage family-law matters (divorce, custody, support, relocation, prenups) from start to resolution/trial.
- Prepare for and handle hearings, motions, mediations, and trials.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, proposed orders, agreements, and discovery documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and maintain direct client communication.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and litigation strategy.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000/year (depending on experience).
- Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus.
