Brookfield is seeking an experienced Senior Associate, Investments Legal to join its Real Estate Group in Singapore (138 Market Street, CapitaGreen). The role focuses on providing strategic legal advice, leading transaction execution, investment consortium arrangements, and corporate securities matters for the Brookfield Property Group with a primary focus on Japan and secondary focus on South Korea and South-East Asia.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in a legal-related discipline.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of solid M&A, finance, equity capital markets, or debt capital markets legal experience working within a top-tier law firm and/or large multinational organization.
Bilingual fluency in both English and Japanese (required for communicating with Japanese-speaking clients/counterparties and reviewing documentation).
Strong understanding of complex organizational structures and legal structures including GKs, TMKs, and ISHs.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Acquisitions and Disposals: Execute complex, multi-faceted transactions across private and public company M&A, lending, and structured finance.
Risk Management: Manage and advise on legal and commercial risks, conflicts, and fund compliance matters.
Contractual Interpretation: Advise on contract documents, bond indentures, and capital management initiatives.
Governance & Litigation: Stay abreast of broader strategies and legal developments, provide litigation support, manage external legal engagements, and collaborate with internal Tax, Accounting, Risk, and Compliance functions.
