Bumi Armada, a prominent entity in the Oil and Gas industry, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time, senior-level role involves providing high-level legal advice on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution, with a specific focus on supporting supply chain and project teams.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Degree in law; Admitted to the Malaysian bar or admitted/called to the Bar in another relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house roles.
• Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with the principles of English law.
• Industry Expertise: Experience providing legal support to procurement/supply chain and project functions; experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Desirable: Current knowledge of oil/gas/maritime industry trends and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor and analyze new laws, rules, and regulations affecting the company.
• Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
• Manage external legal advisers and oversee dispute resolution processes.
• Provide strategic advice on corporate governance, commercial, and regulatory matters.
