Commercial Projects Solicitor - Tier 1 Firm

Contextual Overview

CapeClarke is recruiting an Associate Solicitor (3–5 PQE) for a highly regarded Tier 1 international law firm expanding its London Projects practice. The role focuses on major infrastructure, government contracts, procurement, and public law matters within a sophisticated international practice.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• 3–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Projects, Government Contracting, Procurement, or Public Law.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex projects and/or commercial contracts.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and academic background.
• Familiarity with the Procurement Act 2023, Subsidy Control Act, and public law principles.
• Experience gained within a leading law firm, government legal department, or comparable in-house environment.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise on major infrastructure projects, PPP/PFI transactions, and long-term government contracts.
• Handle government procurement, complex commercial agreements, contract drafting, and negotiation.
• Manage regulatory and advisory matters across transport, energy, utilities, defence, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure sectors.
• Work closely with partners to support public and private sector clients on domestic and international transactions.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

• Base Pay Range: £130,000.00/yr - £140,000.00/yr
• Additional Compensation: Annual Bonus
• Mode: Full-time (London Area, United Kingdom)
