Contextual Overview

CapitaLand is hiring a Senior Manager/Manager, Legal to join their in-house legal team in Singapore. The role focuses on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, divestments, M&A, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory work.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.)
• At least 6 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) gained in a law firm or as an in-house counsel
• Strong corporate real estate and transactional focus with cross-border transaction experience

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Provide legal support and advice to business units on real estate, development, and construction-related matters
• Negotiate, draft, and review real estate agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and vendor contracts
• Manage and minimize risk in joint venture agreements and cross-border transactions
• Work with and oversee external counsel on litigation, disputes, and transactional matters
• Assist with corporate secretarial duties, legal templates, training, and internal compliance policies
