Role Overview
Cencora is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel (AGC) to support Cencora Global Procurement (CGP) in Cork, Ireland. This senior role involves providing legal counsel within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, focusing on corporate governance, manufacturer-facing contracting, data privacy compliance, and strategic risk management.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Law degree and qualified to practice in Ireland (in good standing).
- 7–10+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in-house or at a leading law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial contracting and regulated industry environments.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Corporate Governance: Act as Secretary to CGP, managing Board processes and ensuring compliance with The Companies Act 2014.
- Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate complex pharmaceutical manufacturer-facing agreements and global contracting strategies.
- Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with GDPR and U.S. data privacy laws.
- Strategic Oversight: Manage outside counsel, oversee legal services (HR, IP, litigation), and advise leadership on regulatory developments and jurisdictional expansion.
