Legal Counsel (M&A Focus) at China Three Gorges (Europe) S.A

China Three Gorges (Europe) S.A is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance Department in Madrid. The role focuses on M&A transactions, corporate counsel matters, and contract review within the renewable energy sector.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent relevant discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years of M&A and corporate counsel work in prestigious law firms or as in-house counsel in international companies.
• Languages: Advanced English (C1-C2) and Advanced Spanish (C1-C2/Native).
• Desirable: Master’s or specialization in renewable energy; previous experience in the renewable sector or energy legal teams.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Management of M&A transactions and corporate counsel matters.
• Review of contracts and ancillary documents (EPC, O&M, asset management, facility agreements) in the renewable energy sector.
• Proactive prevention and management of legal risks and disputes.
• Coordination with external legal counsel for global projects and litigation.
• Providing legal support to internal departments (Finance, M&A, HR, Operations, Development).
