Collins Law, LLC, a personal injury law firm based in Hoover, Alabama, is hiring a full-time Associate Attorney. The role involves managing personal injury cases from onboarding through trial preparation, with a focus on litigation strategy, client communication, and case resolution.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Alabama State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.
- Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Conduct client onboarding meetings and provide guidance throughout the case lifecycle.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, demand packages, and settlement documents.
- Conduct legal research and assist in developing case strategies.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and trial preparation.
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
- Coordinate medical treatment, order records, and assess case evidence.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, courts, and medical providers.
- Prepare insurance claims and assist with settlement negotiations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commission.
