Role Overview

A fast-growing international telecommunications company is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel – Regulatory & Compliance to support its global operations from their Dubai office. The role focuses on telecommunications regulation, licensing, and international compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Qualified lawyer status in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Experience: 7–15+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Sector Expertise: Proven experience within the telecommunications industry (MNO, MVNO, or telecom-focused law firms).
• Competencies: Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory licensing, data privacy (GDPR), and cross-border compliance.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage MNO/MVNO licensing requirements, renewals, and amendments.
• Provide regulatory advice on new market entries and international expansion.
• Oversee compliance programs including anti-bribery, AML/KYC, sanctions, and competition law.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory authorities regarding investigations and audits.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with technology providers and telecom operators.
