In-House Counsel

Conti LLC, a national MEP construction company and subsidiary of Equans, is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to support its U.S. operations. Based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, this role serves as the primary legal advisor to the CEO and executive leadership, managing construction contracts, labor and employment matters, and corporate risk mitigation.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD): Must hold a degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan is mandatory.
• Experience: Strong background in construction law, contract review, and negotiation. Experience in the construction or engineering industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Lead legal review of customer contracts, focusing on risk allocation, indemnification, and liability.
• Provide legal guidance on specialty construction products and subcontracted scopes.
• Oversee claims, disputes, and litigation in coordination with outside counsel.
• Partner with HR on labor and employment law, workplace compliance, and employee relations.
• Serve as the liaison between Conti LLC, outside counsel, and the Equans North America General Counsel.

Stipend, Compensation & Mode

The position offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, supplemented by performance-based annual incentive bonuses.
