Legal Counsel EMEA

Contextual Overview

CSL is inviting applications for the position of Legal Counsel, EMEA within its established Global Seqirus legal team based in Maidenhead, England, United Kingdom. The role involves supporting the region by delivering expert legal support, managing commercial contracting, and partnering with internal stakeholders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Hold a Bachelor of laws degree, J.D., Master's degree, or equivalent foreign degree.
• Possess admission to the bar in the UK or an EU country.
• Have 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar legal role, law firm, or in-house position.
• Demonstrate fluency in English alongside another language, preferably German, French, Spanish, or Italian.
• Strong communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Act as legal lead support for preparing, negotiating, and finalizing standard form contracting for the EMEA region.
• Support enterprise initiatives such as template generation, process optimization, and contracting innovation.
• Provide general legal advice to commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Procurement clients, focusing on the Liverpool manufacturing facility.
• Advise on employment law matters and support subsidiary management activities alongside corporate governance teams.
• Collaborate with the Seqirus Compliance Team to advance compliance initiatives and manage third-party disputes.
