Senior Counsel - Europe (m/w/d)

Contextual Overview

Dauch, a global leader in the automotive driveline and metal forming industry, is seeking a Senior Counsel - Europe to provide comprehensive legal support across its European operations. This role involves managing civil, commercial, and labor law matters, drafting complex contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional departments including Finance, Engineering, and Procurement.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Master’s Degree in Law or equivalent (Civil Law preference).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a corporate legal department or international law firm.
• Sector Expertise: Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Mobility: Ability to travel within Europe (30-40% of working time).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial and supply chain contracts.
• Advising internal stakeholders on civil, commercial, competition, and labor law.
• Representing the company in legal disputes and managing external counsel.
• Implementing training materials and supporting company-wide compliance initiatives.
• Managing contractual and non-contractual claims and settlement agreements.
