Commercial Litigation Associate – Midlevel

Overview

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a midlevel associate to join its commercial litigation practice in Seattle, WA. The role involves handling complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including arbitration and dispute resolution proceedings, with significant opportunities for direct client interaction and strategy development.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility to waive in promptly.
• 2–4 years of relevant litigation experience in a law firm, clerkship, or comparable legal environment.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage all stages of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and assist with appellate briefing.
• Conduct and defend depositions and manage e-discovery processes.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategy.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals.

Stipend & Compensation

Annual Salary: $225,000 – $330,000 (adjusted based on experience and qualifications). The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
