DHL, a global logistics provider with over 600,000 employees, is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders across the Caribbean Region. This role involves providing practical, business-oriented legal support in commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment, and dispute resolution matters within a matrix organization structure.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
• Licensure: Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Experience: 7+ years of legal experience (combination of law firm and/or in-house).
• Specific Skills: Significant experience supporting international business operations; Experience managing external counsel is mandatory.
• Languages: Spanish fluency is required; French fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Commercial Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (customer, vendor, procurement, service, confidentiality).
• Regulatory & Compliance: Monitor legal developments, provide guidance on multi-jurisdictional laws, and partner with Compliance/Audit/HR.
• Employment Law: Advise on employee relations, workplace investigations, restrictive covenants, and manage employment litigation.
• Dispute Resolution: Manage pre-litigation disputes and oversee litigation through external counsel.
• Corporate & Real Estate: Prepare corporate documents and draft/negotiate real estate leases and agreements.
• Legal Operations: Deliver training, advise on legal trends, and support process improvements.
