Legal Counsel

Contextual Overview

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a full-time, on-site Legal Counsel based in Westerville, OH. This role provides comprehensive in-house legal support, focusing on corporate litigation, employment, commercial, and regulatory matters, as well as extensive contract drafting and negotiation to support global logistics operations.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Undergraduate degree and a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a law firm, corporate legal department, or governmental agency.
• Skills: Proficiency in contract terminology, litigation strategy, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage litigation dockets, including employment, commercial, and regulatory disputes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex customer, vendor, and procurement contracts.
• Advise business units on legal risks, policy compliance, and litigation strategy.
• Oversee outside counsel and manage litigation budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable legal processes.
