Senior Counsel, ANZ

Contextual Overview

DoorDash is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its legal team in Australia. This role acts as a strategic legal partner providing pragmatic advice across consumer law, regulatory compliance, commercial issues, and litigation. The position supports cross-functional teams including strategy, operations, product, and policy to enable business growth while managing legal risk.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified to practice law in Australia.
• Minimum of 8+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Proven experience advising on commercial, consumer, regulatory, and/or litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of Australian legal frameworks relevant to technology and marketplace businesses.
• Prior in-house experience at a technology or fast-paced international company is preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Serve as a generalist legal advisor for ANZ operations.
• Partner with global legal teams and internal stakeholders (operations, product, policy).
• Provide actionable guidance on complex regulatory and policy developments.
• Develop scalable legal processes and frameworks.
• Balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
