Senior Counsel, ANZ

Contextual Overview

DoorDash is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its legal team in Australia. This role serves as a key legal partner to the business, providing strategic, pragmatic advice across a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, including consumer law, product, partnerships, and policy. The role reports to the Senior Director of Litigation and operates in a hybrid capacity from either Sydney or Melbourne.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Qualified to practice law in Australia.
• Minimum of 8+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Proven experience advising on commercial, consumer, regulatory, and/or litigation matters.
• Prior in-house experience at a technology or fast-paced international company is preferred.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Act as a generalist legal advisor across consumer law, regulatory compliance, commercial issues, and employment/contractor models.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, strategy, product, and policy teams.
• Navigate emerging regulatory and policy developments with clear, actionable advice.
• Build scalable legal processes and frameworks while balancing legal risk with business objectives.
