DWF, a leading global provider of integrated legal and business services, is seeking an Associate to join their nationally recognized Casualty team in Birmingham. The role focuses on handling a diverse defendant caseload, including Major Injury, Casualty, Industrial Disease, and Large Loss claims for Tier 1 insurers.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• PQE: Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience: Proven background in defendant litigation, specifically within Major Injury and Casualty claims.
• Preferred Skills: Experience in Industrial Disease is advantageous but not essential; candidates with strong EL/PL backgrounds or relevant Claimant experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Manage a varied caseload of defendant Casualty, Disease, and Large Loss claims.
• Draft pleadings and client reports, conduct liability investigations, and gather evidence.
• Attend court hearings and manage matters in accordance with court deadlines and service level agreements.
• Instruct experts and address medical causation issues.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
• Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships.
