EMQ Inc., a financial technology company facilitating cross-border payments, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its legal team. The role is based in either Hong Kong or Taipei and involves supporting business growth strategies through legal expertise in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Professionally qualified lawyer admitted to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, US, UK, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of legal and commercial experience.
• Valid, existing work authorization for the specific role location (Hong Kong or Taipei).
• Note: EMQ does not provide relocation support or visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Draft, review, negotiate, and structure commercial contracts (MSAs, IT services, intragroup arrangements, partnerships).
• Collaborate with business development, tech, HR, and marketing teams to provide legal advice.
• Negotiate with external clients, partners, and external counsel.
• Provide risk management advice and ensure governance practices and control effectiveness.
• Manage legal issues across multiple EMQ Group companies.
