Eni is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Liverpool Bay CCS Limited (LBCCS) team in London. This role focuses on providing legal support for the development of the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project, including regulatory compliance, commercial agreements, infrastructure development, and financing within the UK energy sector.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent.
- Law degree with strong academic credentials.
- Proven experience in UKCS upstream oil and gas, CCS, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Fluent in English.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide proactive legal advice on the Liverpool Bay CCS project, including regulatory compliance, economic licensing, and CCS Network Code matters.
- Draft and negotiate commercial, real estate, planning, construction (EPC), and financing agreements.
- Support company secretarial activities and dispute resolution (litigation, arbitration, mediation).
- Ensure internal compliance with HS&E, Anti-Corruption, and Sarbanes-Oxley policies.
